We, Prarthana Foundation, was established at North Paravur in Ernakulam District of Kerala in June 2013 as a family trust registered under the Public Charitable Act with the sole motive of providing total upliftment to the local community. Focus was in five core areas of Health, Rehabilitation, Education, Geriatric and Environment protection.
Initially our project’s activities were confined to the welfare of 550 families comprising of approx.2020 members in the adjoining area in the coastal district of Ernakulum.
As transformation was evidenced in our service area, we felt the need to focus our attention towards the marginalized segments of the society. Accordingly, palliative care, geriatric care and rehabilitation of the differently abled were the priorities.
Thrust was to the differently abled, especially the intellectually disabled. Our projects are implemented either on leased properties or on participation basis.

Management Trustees
Prarthana Foundation is an altruistic organization founded by Mr. CK Padma Kumar, a person with irresistible passion over community work, is the trustee of the project. Mrs. Dimple Padma Kumar, the better half has given her soul mate support and inspiration to him. She firmly stood behind simply encouraging him, together they have shaped a multi-faceted entry to copes up with their aspect over philanthropy. With a view to partial realization of this perceiving they registered a charitable trust in June 2013, with Mr.Dileep Kumar a relative of CK. Padma Kumar and a resident businessman (Indian) as member of the trust.
