Prarthana Foundation champions persons with disabilities by advocating for accessibility, providing specialized support services, and promoting inclusive opportunities, empowering them to thrive and participate fully in society.

Project IDEAL (Intellectually Disabled Empowerment And Livelihood)
In collaboration with the Chavara Vocational Training Centre koonammavu in, Prarthana Foundation has initiated Project IDEAL. The project aims to provide livelihood opportunities and self-employment for individuals with intellectual disabilities. By analysing their skills and providing tailored training, we help them to start a sales outlet and empower them to earn a living and lead fulfilling lives.

Horticulture Therapy
Prarthana Foundation offers horticulture therapy for intellectually disabled individuals at Chavara Special School in Koonamavu. This therapeutic approach utilises gardening activities to enhance their well-being, promote sensory stimulation, and develop essential life skills.

State Centre Of Enable India
Prarthana Foundation has collaborated with Enable India, one of India's largest NGOs dedicated to working with people with disabilities. Together, we have established a State centre to provide comprehensive support and services to individuals with disabilities. This partnership enables us to expand our efforts to empower people with disabilities and promote inclusivity.

For An Inclusive World
In response to a request from district authorities, Prarthana Foundation provided support to Mr. Sajan Pariyar, a 24-year-old deaf and dumb individual from Nepal who is paralysed from the hip down. We supplied him with an electric wheelchair to enhance his mobility and improve his quality of life while under the care of Peace Valley Human Care Centre, Kothamangalam. Mr. Radhakrishna of Chittatukara, who was affected by polio during childhood, approached us seeking support to improve accessibility in his daily life. In response, the Prarthana Foundation constructed two ramps and a washbasin to facilitate his movement to and from the toilets and ensure his convenience at home.

Children Village
In collaboration with Peace Valley Foundation, Prarthana Foundation has established the Children Village—a unique concept that combines therapy and education under one roof. The Children's Village caters to children between the ages of 7 and 14 with various disabilities. It serves as a holistic centre for psychosocial rehabilitation, physical medicine and rehabilitation, palliative care, and early intervention for developmentally challenged children.
