Where does our foundation fit among the other institutions trying to improve the rehabilitation sector
Prarthana Foundation fosters rehabilitation by offering support services, vocational training, and community integration programs, empowering individuals to rebuild their lives after adversity and overcome challenges with dignity and resilience.
Our Rehabilitation Programs

Housing Support
Prarthana Foundation recognises the importance of safe and secure housing for individuals and families in need within our service area. We have undertaken several housing support initiatives to address specific cases and assist in completing houses under government schemes. One of our notable initiatives involved fabricating a house for a spinster who had been caring for her bedridden mother in a tent with plastic roofing for 20 years. In another case, we constructed a 400-square-foot house for a sick widow whose property was located in the Coastal Regulatory Zone, which prohibits permanent construction. This housing support initiative provided her with a secure and comfortable living space. In addition to individual cases, the Prarthana Foundation has supported 150 families in completing their houses under government-supported schemes. We understand the significance of having a proper dwelling and aim to ensure that families have access to decent housing.

Sign Boards In The Service Area
To facilitate ease of navigation and provide direction to the local community, we have installed signboards at 40 various locations in N. Paravur. These signboards guide individuals to their destinations, enhancing convenience and reducing confusion.

CCTV Networking Support
In collaboration with other organisations, we have contributed financial support to network N. Paravur town with CCTV cameras. This initiative aims to deter criminal activities and promote a safe and secure living environment for the community. By enhancing surveillance capabilities, we strive to create a sense of security among residents.

Skill Development Centre
Prarthana Foundation has renovated a skill development centre in association with Gandhi Samara Sangam in North Paravur. Through this centre, we provide skill development classes and empower women, creating opportunities for livelihood within the community. By promoting skill development and women's empowerment, we contribute to the overall growth and well-being of individuals.
